The club is the focus of Rotary membership but Rotarians, with their partners and others can engage in service elsewhere in the world.

For some of many options go to www.rotary.org and search "Rotary Fellowships"

Rotary is an international organisation and is very good at building partnerships with others that individuals and / or groups of Rotarians, their families and friends can take part in.  In one simple example St Johns Rotary in Auckland has long had a relationship with Habitat for Humanity where members gather twice a year to help build a house in Auckland.  This has expanded over the last couple of years where some members, often with partners and sometimes friends, have joined Habitat for Humanity teams to overseas destinations to build houses for those in need.  The last two trips have been to Nepal (before the earthquake) and Argentina.  The next for which names are being gathered is to Vietnam.  The trip opens the opportunity beyond the volunteering to also experience the culture and sights of the country being visited. So, do not limit your Rotary service to just your club especially if you have a passion you would like to become more engaged in as somewhere in the wide Rotary world there are others waiting for you to put your hand up to be more involved.
