Bula Vinaka!  I wish you all good luck and much happiness throughout the year as we celebrate the year of the Dragon.

I hope you all had a good break during Christmas and New Year and enjoyed the time with your loved ones.

Majority of the club visits are now done with the recent to Labasa and Savusavu.  It was quite an experience to either see or learn about the projects being undertaken by the clubs and the impact that these projects have in the community.

Some clubs still struggle with membership and I urge these clubs to continue to work with their AGs and the District Membership team to work towards growing your club.  Clubs gain the capacity to embark on ambitious and impactful initiatives if they have good membership. More hands make light work!

I am pleased to say that we are heading in the right direction as District 9920 is currently the top District for nett membership growth in Zone 8, all thanks to the Clubs Presidents and their boards, the Area Governors and the District Membership team.  Let's continue to strengthen this.

Regionalisation is progressing well and in the coming week clubs will be notified of their Rotary Community Groups with the appointment of Community Leaders to follow.  Please work with the clubs in your Community Groups to put in your nominations.

We are fast approaching the District Conference and with the preparations in place so far it is looking to be a great event.  If you have yet to register, please get your registrations in as early as possible.  The programme has been published on the website. Keep an eye out as we put the profiles of the speakers at the conference on the website and on social media.

The President Elect Seminars are scheduled for February and April.  It is important for President Elects to attend this training to start preparing for their year.  I wish the PEs good luck and hope you enjoy the experience and meeting other PEs.

As clubs begin their meetings for the new year, please remember to publicise your projects, work with your cluster clubs and AGs on membership and we look forward to your Club's contribution to the Rotary Foundation and the End Polio Campaign.

Wishing you all a Happy Valentine's Day!
