Coffee instead of microbeads in the scrub!!
No Scrub Coffee Body ScrubWe thought you’d like to know about six girls from Auckland Girls Grammar School who are successfully selling a coffee body scrub – with NO MICROBEADS!!
Called ‘No Scrub’, the sustainable product is made from used coffee beans and coconut oil, and flavoured with vanilla essence. Developed through trial and error in a home kitchen, we now make it in batches our school teaching kitchen.
A philanthropic business who believing in empowering women, we donate 10% of our profits to the YWCA Auckland Future Leaders Programme which supports young women from underprivileged background to become amazing young women.
We have received a $100 donation from Countdown to help reduce container costs and have won Pasifika funding to kick start our business.
Our Principal, who is now regularly using the scrub, endorses the product. Originally marketed for 16 to 25 year olds, we now realise the potential for women of any age!!
Our No Scrub team is competing as part of the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) and are supported by Auckland Downtown Rotary Club.
