Calling all clubs

The year of the Rooster is upon us, 2017 is about embracing opportunities and navigating challenges that steer on our direction.
 
Which brings us to ... our new membership campaign that is looming. With a team of people creating and executing a strategy for Districts and clubs to implement in the coming months, we want YOU to start thinking about how you and your club/district can begin appealing to the wider community to get new members to join Rotary. There are many types of people who know would love Rotary as much as it’s current members. So let’s start getting creative with our thinking!
 
Telling your story attracts members ... good quality members.  As you know there is a national Membership Seminar in March that your club can send members to ... it is in Wellington and who wouldn't pass that opportunity!  But there is more!
 
This will be starting two weeks before and running well after will be a national Facebook Membership Attraction Campaign.  Your club can tap directly into this by sharing posts placed on www.facebook.com/rotarynz to your own page (make sure you add your own message) or you can copy the pictures/graphics and text and create your own original post to your Facebook page.
 
So plan now for this.  Of course, in addition to using Facebook you need to make sure your club processes for handling membership enquiries are very efficient and you could complement all this with your own advertising/activity.  The national campaign will be grouped around topics that will run for a week at a time and these are: Young Professional, Women in leadership roles, Arty people, recently retired people, couples, business leaders, Rotary Alumni and more.  If you need any help re using social media contact Colin Robinson (not expert but pretty good ... and runs the D9920 social media).
