How to use this theme effectively will be explained at South Pacific Presidents Elect Training Seminar and at the District Leaders Training for club officers.

Ian has some specific emphasies for 2017-2018 including addressing environmental degradation and global climate change which he regards as serious threats to everyone, Riseley said. “They are having a disproportionate impact on those who are most vulnerable, those to whom Rotary has the greatest responsibility. Yet environmental issues rarely register on the Rotary agenda,” he said.  [Note that the February Rotary Down Under magazine has a feature showcasing environmental projects by several Rotary clubs that will serve as encouragement and examples for other clubs to develop their own projects helping the environment.]
